I started playing in the last month of Season 1, ranked up to level 30 and waited till the last month of Season 2 before I started soloqing.
I'm pretty sure if I started playing ranked the beginning of Season 2 I would've never reached Gold that season
Playing now, ending up in probably bronze-silver will only make you hate the game.
