I don't think you'll get 1kfps with your settings at normal (lightmaps on, high resolution, etc.). The 550 ti isn't a bad gpu, but it's no beast either, a gtx 460 will beat it. You'll probably get 500-800fps with thousand fps spikes or so. But, as long as you're able to maintain 250fps, it doesn't matter. 250fps is where animations cancel fastest.

With that CPU and GPU he has he will get more than 1,000 FPS unless the one he bought are some used jinks a few years old.
His GPU is better than my previous GPU which could get me 2k FPS lol.
