Why do you prefer Jake over your real name?

In elementary I was surrounded by people who spoke the same language as me and were able to say my name. Junior high though I was surrounded by alot of people who couldn't tho and it gets annoying hearing your name said wrong countless times even after you correct them. So I created a white name for myself that was easy and it stuck. Also liked this guy named jake so yeah....
