That's the error I see whenever I try to launch the game via either the launcher or gunz.exe. I've reinstalled twice, deleted my patch folder and run everything as admin with no luck (I installed a manual patch Dave posted in some thread too, no success). This started happening after the April 6th patch & I'm not sure what to do. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Edit - I also added an exception for the folder & gunz.exe in windows defender (My only AV)

Try uninstalling, after that redownload the files.
Turn off your AV and install.
Patch and after patching add everything to the list of exceptions.
Now you can turn on your AV and start the game.

Have you tried disabling DEP? Refer to Google if you don't know how to.
It's a terrible thing, I think, in life to wait until you're ready.
