    Be able to edit private messages after sending them, incase you have anything to add, remove or correct that you accidentally sent already.

    99% sure this is not possible with Vbulletin.
    What you can do is send another PM after it or double check your PM before sending (what I usually do).

    i do, but inevitably you figure out 1 or 2 hours later that you forgot something or you want to add/correct something.
    perhaps 'unread' messages could be deleted, and then re-sent with the proper modification.

    vBulletin made it this way and unfortunately it's a lot of work to rebuild the PM system.
    It's a terrible thing, I think, in life to wait until you're ready.
    I have this feeling now that actually no one is ever ready to do anything.
    There is almost no such thing as ready. There is only now.
    And you may as well do it now. Generally speaking, now is as good a time as any.
