With the indicator it at least would show at level one that you're restarting, not new. Give people who have been 99 forever a new goal to rebirth x amount of times.
Anyway, the great part about an idea is not everyone has to like it.
But with that being said if it became a thing, you certaintly wouldn't have to utilize it.
