Plot Twist: Generally speaking this would be fine for Gemma, except that not only is her school now 30 minutes of driving with a bus away (since she moved), but the fact that she missed 2 buses in a row had caused the time to get so late that when she spent all those 30 minutes getting back, she realized the time, which is past the time in which the school closes.
