Arguing is only fun when you're arguing with someone who ACTUALLY uses their brain to gather facts instead of state bullshit. Arguing with a person who doesn't know the first thing about using his brain depresses me, I don't see how it can excite you. I have to think to myself "there are people like this in the world? god bless this world".

Take some time to glance through what he said and you'll see why I said that. It has nothing to do with believing in God. It's the fact that he said back then people were stupid as **** without even taking into account the HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENTS they achieved without even having an ounce of technology, yet he says they were dumb.

he didnt say anything about stupid. just about the level of intelligence. he has a point though. Religion was created in a world were you could die at any moment by anything. People had a need to feel safe. but along the way we found a way to educate ourselves and we are getting smarter and smarter. Alot of people don't need religion anymore because they can feel safe and good without it.

Coming from a Christian's point of view:
God does not prevent evil. He gives us Christian adherents free will from the beginning
to decide whether we do good deeds or commit sin. Evil comes from the devil (D-evil).
Lucifer was the name of the angel God had sent to hell. He was sent to hell
from the pride he had taken for himself.
“Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor.” - Ezekiel 28:17 (King Jame's Bible)
Lucifer was originally the left the creative hand of God in a perfect state.
Wouldn't you think God could stop all this instantly? It might be a bit complicated for you. Not trying to convert anyone.
However, I perceive life as a trial for everyone. God trials us, we don't question Him.

Also, without our past, we wouldn't have all this technology today lol...
It was during the renaissance technology started to become an interest.
