Good attempt. I don't usually comment but here's some info, the character doesn't blend in with the background well, the theme is fine but the colours used on the character do not blend with the background. Also the style of the background, which is like an oil painting I'm guessing, doesn't go well with animated characters. Try designing a different background, keep the render, and set a fixed colour scheme for the background that matches the render.
