New idea for the Forum (Spend a lot of time thinking about this)

Your account associated to a group.

The Forums of Freestyle GunZ are very active and there are a lot of people coming back everyday to report others, asking questions or just to talk with others in the chat. However, your account associated to a group. If you just created your account, you aren't in a group. If you donated you get a "donator" userbar under your forum name. Example:

There are a few groups the forum has: Administrator • Forum Moderator • Game Moderator • Developer • Event Team • E.L.I.T.E • Gold Member • Donator • Banned Users ( I wanted to use HTML for the colors but that wasn't possible :( )
I think the groups are quite unique and they don't need an explanation. It's all common sense but i think it misses one piece to complete the puzzle.

The forum and its community.

This forum has a lot of nice, helping people who aren't in the staff but do have a userbar because they donated or bought V.I.P. The "rank" you get is basically easier to get than grabbing candy from a baby. Just buy some donates and you've "earned" your userbar. People who take a lot of time spending on the forums just because they like helping people deserve a better group(In my opinion). Some people always help others and for that, i think people who are known, reliable and active should earn a different userbar( rank, group ).

How the forum will be like when they think about this idea. (When i imagine it)

* The forum would be clearer for new people who register a new account.
* People with this new userbar will be taken more serious.
* If people already earned this userbar, their application for GM or whatever will be taken more serious.
* If people need help INGAME, forwarding them to your forum-profile will influence their trust immediately.
* Just like FGunZ's golden members, extra features to communicate with people who earned this userbar.

Yes, the fonts are incorrect because i didn't try to re-create it... i made it look fake on purpose.

I picked red not because everything else was taken... i chose it because it asks attention. Red will get easier noticed.

Feel free to add anything to this post with your opinion or idea's!

Why complicate things? the titles we've got are already enough and those who like helping don't need any kind of new title or something, everything's fine like this

Sounds good but not everyone here are experts and not everyone knows how to solve a certain problem.. that's why we got Developers and Admins, mostly Dave is solving the problems because he has a lot of knowledge.

Anyway it's not so bad, I mean, sometimes there are no GM's around or FM'saround but yeah, people can wait for them to solve things. I think making threads about a problem is enough. Who needs to help, helps. This complicates things a bit, in my opinion.

Its not like the title is replacing them haha, but its like knowing you get a straight, fair answer of a trusted user. There are a lot, seriously.. A LOT of people with a donators/golden members rank. This title kinda picks the reliable ones out.

There might be a possibility that we will add Forum Event winner group.
I self like too see a new group that links people that joined before 2010 ;D.

So far I know he is mainly talking about adding more groups.
For like trusted members, I cannot quite bring that up since there were too many people that we trusted that betrayed us (staff) in the end.

Titles kinda give your account a "status". I like different titles.

LOL people always betray, it's hard to find a person you can rely on, i think that's natural. That's why there exists the trial period in which a person is tested and everything eventually if that person is going to misbehave Dave will take care of that, and not just him lol. Anyway creating forum events and helping people out are two different things. I think if there's going to be a new title like this around (trusted user) GM's aren't going to like it, everyone is going to huddle to help people out.

It will give the community a boost trying to earn that title besides, if someone has 3 warnings etc, i don't think they can even earn it.

Nah I don't think it's useful but that's just what i think about it, we'll never know one's real capacities and anyway they can be showed even without a title such as trusted user

That's just asking for recognition for something you should already be doing and someone that truly wants to help people wouldn't want/need
to be recognized for it.

I'd support this is I can get the custom title "Number 1 Forum F@gg0t" with color, and George gets Number 2.

If this will be implemented, there will be a lot of people asking for unique titles and it just separates everyone even more, there might be titles for helping, advising, vigilanting, and maybe even trolling! I suggest keeping everything the way it was and recognize the people ourselves. Ex, I know Adam is good at commenting on GFX works, including Rhysin, Resort (krewella), Teresa and me (I like to think). I also know Slugheady gives direct and sometimes intimidating advices, Mime raging all the time, Systema as a trans-gender scammer and a special group that posts "nice" or similar just to raise post counts and it includes Mex. Either way, the forum as it is, is fine. Anything more and all the fm's and Dave will have their Inbox full within days

It'll just cause people to start slime balling a whole bunch. People can still help other users without that title, there is no real reason behind earning one of these titles besides whoring about it. It will just make people even more fake in my opinion.

this will eventually result in drama. alot of people would want this rank and they will start kiss ass in order to get it. alot of people will be mad or dissapointed or whatever. look at the gm or event master applications. if that drama everytime isnt bad enough

I agree with Vicka. Kami, weren't you banned at Aeria for hacking or something? I don't think it would be wise to trust you.

We had that on the old forum if I am correct and I have seen it on many forums, it will get abused for no reason at all (basicly it would be a friend voting competition).




OT: Feel free to suggest decent groups (those who want to troll will be banned of the thread / can expect a bigger punishment).

If this is going to happen I suggest only oldgens from lets say <2010-2011 can get it.
Those people would know more about how this server functions than random asslicking br's.

I like the idea, but i think it may make the forum too complicated
