Improve clan war variety of teams. Reasons why clan wars can be extremely boring and lame is when the teams are unfair/one-sided all the time. It is cringe playing against the same players again and again. A suggestion to remove clan wars and provide player wars experience would be better. This could show the true abilities of players with their win ratio in clan wars with individual player weekly rankings, showing their win/ratio in clan wars and points maybe? Implementing this suggestion will not only show true abilities of a player, but also provide variety in teams and more fairness to the teams. In addition, even though nobody gives a shit about wins in 2021, swapping is always gonna be out of the question.

Sure, you can argue that some people can troll on purpose on one side if they dislike the player on their team. Cool, if they do that u can just submit recordings and post on the forums and report it to the staff. If the staff thinks its troll, they can give punishments. (can be decided by the staff)

To elaborate on player wars, it is just basically like league of legends. Players click ready and select the mode they want to play, 2vs2, 3vs3, 4vs4 cws and so on. And teams can be formed by some random name picker.

if i understood your suggestion correctly you want a clan war 1v1 option so that each individual player can contribute with clan points and display their skill instead of being with a team?

or did you mean players playing against their own clanmates? im a lil confused

There is no team in this, it is always individual. and no 1v1 is out of the question, that doesnt make it a team based game. The minimum requirement is 4 players, i.e. 2v2. U cant have the same team again and again this way which prevents swap. Also, staffs can always check the logs to see if theres anything fishy.

like maybe clan wars without clans that randomizes the teams, I mean it doesn't really make sense but if we can be a little more creative here it can be something I suppose.
Also it can be added to weekly competition like the player with the best winning k/d and most points.
Another thing that could be fun is to fight your own clan, let's say there are 4 players so maybe fight your own clan 2v2 and the teams are randomized just to have fun with your clan mates I guess.
these are just ideas that needs more thinking of how to make it possible and fair and also not to make it look like swap or whatever.

well that's basically 'Player Wars' like in the other server, which is fun, but shouldn't replace CW completely imo,

Adding that with weekly ladder and small-prizes like CW,
maybe adding ROW option like in Duel and some other stuff you can think of would be awesome addition to the competitive side of the server, because most of the CW happening in the server is that we set up be4, I rarely see some people queue up in CW without setting up the teams before.

+1 Suggestion, I like to support this suggestion because people wanted some ranked system from long back, SOLO RANKING SYSTEM sounds good this makes players keep active daily.
Who hates being best/rank 1? From a gamer perspective, I like challenges so I put myself into a dungeon to battle a monster.

Oh I just realized something, a lot of times I see that clan mates want to cw against each other and they have to make another clan. So maybe if you can make a game mode in clan to cw against each other but reward each player alone that would still keep it competitive and also make it not look like swap. And they won't have to make another clan when they want to stay in their clan together and also they won't lose their cw points or have to go on an alt. I think that would be cool

@Eran, that is actually one of the reasons why its helpful, u dont need to keep making clans again and again, your points are always there, team is always randomized. There isnt much hassle for players, teams are more fair(RNG-based). An individual ranking system can be an opportunity to increase competitiveness on this server. If, the option doesn't work, we can always revert back to traditional cws.

Moreover, whenever staffs/ET's announces CWS/Duel Tourneys. People usually want to cw but are too lazy/lack incentive to find a partner because it is just too much of a hassle. Staffs announcing perhaps lets say "Player Wars?" or whatever its called, People can always just go to that channel and see how many people are waiting in lobby and just click ready whenever they want to play.
This can be very time-saving when compared to finding a partner all the time just for 15 mins of cws.

completely agreed, finding a partner is really hard and those regular CW players ignore new players(or average skilled players) like me it's annoying.

Really weird how it suddenly takes so much time and its impossible to find cws for you guys, when its been more active now than the last 5 years

Its not gonna be more balanced anyway, you usually have a couple players that stand out, if they get placed on the same team they will just steamroll the other team.

If you replace it for clanwars (which would be terrible) you will end up with less people playing it, in a game like gunz filled with ego, some ppl just dont want to play with certain players, also theres different styles of players, some are difficult to teamwork with. I believe this will just lower the avg skill level and make it more of a tdm. It would only be beneficial for lesser skilled players or hated players because they can have a team to play with

If you add it as a seperate option it will just become a dead unused option just like on the other server u stole this idea from

You say that there are certain players that stand out and will streamroll the other team? But isnt that already the case???? Lostvayne Dante Arabella whatever the line-up was for Hell, for the past 3-4 weeks? What was going on there? I barely saw like 10 losses on Hell's clan when compared to its wins? The win/losses just an example was like 70/12 ? Doesnt that make it unfair already when all the ''good'' players play together against everyone else? Sure, you can always argue that that there is a possibility of all the good players ending up together, but thats extremely rare. However, if you take Hell clan's example, that just makes it 100% everytime because its always the same team smashing others.

You say gunz is filled with ego? What are you playing the game for then? Come show me what u got, climb the individual rank in player wars? That way u can boost ur ego even more, if thats the factor u consider 24/7

Oh, unless u wanna get carried 24/7 by ur stacked teams, THEN i can understand :D

Oh and also, you say that its just add it as another option, We can always have a beta trial where people actually try it and disable clan wars during the testing period.

This suggestion wont solve the problem at all. I can already see people leaving first round because they are teamed up with someone they dont like or think they suck **** (ego). For most, clan war is about getting rank 1 with the clan and get as many contribution points as possible to get the most amount of coins u can get in 1 week. So you obviously want the team with the most skilled players. The problem with contribution points though is that you are basically stuck in 1 clan, since if you leave you lose all of it. I have seen a lot of situations where people end up joining the rank 1 clan because the players that were available at the time all had contribution points that they didnt want to lose. So its like adding insult to injury (since they are also helping the #1 clan now). And most of us are too lazy to go to an alt account even though it takes a few seconds, me included.

Maybe it is a good thing to change how the contribution points work. Make it so that if you leave the clan, the contribution points gets saved up in your fg account and shared with your other characters ( so if you have 1 character with 37 points and 1 with 63 points you have 100 points in total and still get the reward for getting 100 contribution points). Now you dont have the problem to stay in 1 clan and you dont have to worry about losing your contribution points or coins anymore. Maybe players are then more willing to hop clans to help other people that cant form a clan properly?

This might solve it or not, but I think this will make it easier and more fun (maybe) to form clans, without having to worry about things like this.

i think so, the problem is gunz because gunz in general is filled with ego players dat only just need win, ditching friends or players, so if they gonna team up randomly with a "noob" they gonna rq first round, im sure of that, we all different, idc playing with a "noob" but most of the ppl care about it lol

This, and also: Making the game work like League of Legends is just going to add up to more toxicity in this game. Imagine, being toxic in gunz in 2021. XD

What's most baffling to me is the fact that people are completely overlooking the creation of a balanced elo/mmr system for the whole thing, queue sniping people to get better teams and basically losing a whole aspect of clan wars that is teamwork (which kaiser has been a huge propagator of, why the sudden change of mind?).
Replacing the current CW system with it would just mean a huge shitshow imo, not opposed to having it launch as a beta test separate queue (flex queue in league of legends as a parallel example).
If you don't want to play against overstacked teams, nobody is forcing you to go up, TDM and duel hall rooms are always open. If Hell has an insane winrate due to overstacked teams, that's on everyone else trying to challenge them and failing. Get better players on your team who can compete, if you can't handle getting pubstomped every now and then.

@Baked, ur telling me that I should just dodge the players? The problem is, I dont dodge, other people dodge. New people dont get a chance in the community. Take Faky as an example since he has been on this thread? Have you ever seen this guy clan war against you/me/Hell line-up, whatever the regular line-up players are. The answer is NO, you have never seen him? Why? Because players like him already have the mentality that it is not possible to win, so why should I play in the first place. This actually reduces the cw community in size whereas in reality, everybody should have the chance to go up with balanced teams.

Oh and also, what if i say that everybody else is 10x worse than the whole Hell lineup. (Im not being egotistical), Those players just have much more experience than new players who dont stand a chance. Providing Player Wars can open doors to new players because the teams will be balanced. Does that answer your question?

In my experience Hell doesn't cw for like 90% of the day, only in the evenings. That leaves a huge window for everyone else who wants to cw in the meantime. The only thing in my opinion that player wars would actually solve, is going through the trouble of finding a teammate to cw with. I personally probably would use player wars during completely dead cw hours.
After all is said though, I feel that people who want to cw are already cwing and those who aren't cwing either aren't interested in it or just simply aren't good enough to compete even on the most basic level. To create a healthy and balanced ladder for player wars, sample of (let's be generous) 100 people wouldn't be enough regardless, since skill gaps would be far too wide.

NO, it is basically clan wars, JUST a difference where the individuals are queued up for a randomly generated team to promote fairness of teams, opportunities to new players, variety of opposing teams, a new era of competitiveness & individual ranking system instead of clan system.

I really like this concept, good suggestion. Sometimes there are no good players online and all the good players are stacked in 1 clan dominating cw, impossible to play a fun game against.

So basically a randomised Team Deathmatch with a ranking point system?



Had an idea for clan wars that would "randomise" your next clan opponent a bit more, maybe we could add a function in the code that you can never play against the same clan twice in a row, is if you queue as a clan you will always get another clan if multiple clans queue up, this makes it a bit more diverse instead of getting that same clan over and over..

Personally I never played a lot of clan wars so my experience is little but all I can offer are idea's and possible solutions.

Clanwars aren’t supposed to be noob-friendly stick to TDM.

To be honest this solution that you have provided would have been viable but considering the amount of players that FG currently has, it just isn't ideal. Think about it in this way, if there are 3 clans going up, eventually you will be in a loop against the same team again and again. The suggestion provided isn't trying to tackle the issue you're mentioning. In fact, the problem was in general teams are always fixed. Its usually the same squad is what i meant. Providing a randomized CW option would LITERALLY remove the SAME team happening over and over because the teams will be generated randomly. This can enhance competitiveness between people and also, people will get an opportunity to face their own team from time to time, which would be extremely fun. Newcomers who lack friends in the competitive scene can also come about to enjoy the competitiveness of this game.

Honestly speaking, majority of the clan war players are just insecure of cwing with somebody else rather than their own specific team. Because they're just way too up their arse about winning cws, even if its just against noobs. And that definitely includes u.

You misunderstand the whole concept of 'Clan' and 'Clan Wars'.
TDM is where you belong.

Not a bad suggestion, but it definitely wouldn't replace Clan Wars, rather be its own seperate thing.

Dont think you should change anything about clan war except fix the ae issue, even randomizing ur opponent would not be helpful in all situations.

People mainly forget that GunZ is not a game where you can get in without any problems as a newcomer. The enormously high skill cap and the competitive scene are not attractive to the average casual gamer. They just want to lean back and play their game. And then when you come across a bunch of sweats who have been playing this game for 10 years, you are quickly gone as a newbie.

My ideas were not inspired from this post. Also, around 2016 was when FG was losing players due to its [IA][R] if i remember correctly. In 2017, V8 came out which made FG lose EVEN more players. However, now, the amount of players in my belief have been at a much better place when compared to 2019-2020, especially the clan war community. Player Wars can be tested by players, if they are liked by players we can keep it. Moreover, from the feedback received on this thread it looks like Player Wars will be enjoyed by many players. Im sure many would want to try it out.
