You can use forum prizes as a method of giving chances to players to be able to help out in an event with a GM.
Newcomers especially would love doing that.
Most of you will probably think "Oh yeah, power level the noops", but may I remind you that it's a private server.
Kills aren't all that important and it would increase interaction between players and GM's/Forum Mods even more.
Also seasonal contests such as ones for Halloween, Christmas, Winter, Summer, Easter etc. (GFX Contests based on those seasons, Trivias related to those Seasons, Video Contests (Highest Vote Wins))
Solving Riddles, although that could be associated with the Trvia's.
Most Hilarious/Unique/Interesting [Insert any other adjectives] Screenshots in-game. Users could vote on which ever one they loved the most.
Description Event - Where the Forum Staff briefly describes 10 objects and whoever guesses the most correct wins.
Anything could be done.
