you're just pushing the lane, and denying your own team mates farm.

something called lane tax btw, gank and u dont get a kill, tax the lane/push so you deny enemy laners creeps b tower killing the creeps lol

uhhhh sorry but u always push lane when u killed the other guy and ur laners going home. u push it all the way to turt so the enemy turt can kill minions before enemy comes back while their minions is still alive thus the enemys minions going to push toward ur turt and by the time they get to ur turt, ur lane doods already there getting all the cs. this denieds the enemys farm and it allows jungler to pick up some extra golddd.
