I srsly need help.

I keep getting so much fricking screen lag and low fps in games that i play like in garden factory town and all those other maps. I get such low fps and screen lag. How can i try to make my pc better. I keep the resolution and all the settings on low all the time. I got an old computer so ik thats part of it but i dont have money now to buy a new one. Any suggestions any how to improve this. Its ridiculous. Assistance would be appreciated. Thank You.

Also what kind of graphics are are you using?
Go to www.piriform.com and download CCCLeaner and Defraggler and i had a pent 4 before i hated it trust me
