1. Introduction

This thread will contain all the information you need to report a user.



2. Reporting Format

Use the following format when you want to report a user.

Information:

• If you do not use the format, we may ignore and/or decline your report.
• In case the reported user has colors in its name, include the exact name with its colors.
• The reason has to be something that makes sense, not something like "just look at the replay".
• Images should not be modified in any way, do not remove any of the chats or else your report may be declined.
• We do not accept any YouTube videos or of any other media sharing site. We only accept images and .gzr replay files.

3. Image & File Uploading Sites

The best way to attach evidence is by using the built-in attachment manager of the forums.
If you do not want to use this, here is a list of sites where you should upload your images and/or replays to.

4. Punishments & Reporting

Swapping

What is swapping?
Swapping are two users who are giving free kills to each other in order to gain levels, bounty, K/D (Kills and death).
Note: Swapping can be done by one user also, meaning: Let's say I have two computers and two Freestyle GunZ accounts, so I connect on two different accounts using two different computers, I create a room with a password and I go to both rooms with the two different accounts, so there I can swap.

Punishment
Depending on the consequences, most likely if the users are swapping which is obvious - Giving free kills, killing each other in turns will be given a level re-set.
If the users are caught with a few kills, K/D of the kills will be removed and a verbal warn will be given.
If the room is public, and the user was away from the keyboard (AFK), the user who killed the user afking, will be verbally warned and the kills he has done will be removed.

Requirements if you are the one reporting
At least one screenshot and a replay.

N-Stepping

What is n-stepping?
N-Stepping could be a software/program or can be done manually. What it does is cuts off internet connection then goes back. So let's say I am the one n-stepping:
Manually: I plug off the internet connection (most likely the wire) all my opponents ping will be (--) obviously it's because my connection is dead, once I go to the place where I can go, I put my connection back on.
So it's like moving from a place to another place. Software works the same, but instead of doing it manually, you do it via a program.

Punishment
One warning.

Requirements
When reporting an n-stepper, make sure a screenshot of his ping (--) and a normal ping for example (87). So two screenshots minimum.
A replay is needed to make sure if the user is n-stepping.

Flaming & Racism

What is flaming?

Punishment
1st Offence: 24-48 hour mute + an optional warning left to the discretion of the GM dealing with the report (based on severity of the context in the report).
2nd Offence: 48-120 hour mute + warning (no matter how tiny the racism/flaming is, second offence is a warning).
3rd Offence: 120-240 hour mute + two warnings.

Requirements
As I said, make sure you didn't provoke him before reporting, so make sure you include enough screenshots.

Side note: When reporting a user that is speaking a foreign language, please provide a translation of the sentence and what the user is saying.

Advertising

What is advertising?
Advertising is when you tell people to join another server/any website in-game by encourage them to.

Underclocking & Overclocking & Shotbotting

What is underclocking?
There are two different types of underclocking; Software and hardware sided.
More information at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Underclocking - The purpose of underclocking is to make the game slower, so you can hit harder and you don't need to aim with the normal speed of the game.

What is overclocking
The same as underclock works, the difference is to make the gameplayer faster.

What is shotbot
Shotbot is a third party program on GunZ also it's known on other games to make the character (you) automatically shoot your opponent.

Requirements
If the report is based on clanwar you have to provide a replay with minimum of 3 rounds and minimum of 4 screenshots showing the ping of the user.
If the report is based on any other game-mode you have to provide a replay with minimum of 6 rounds and minimum of 4 screenshots showing the ping of the user.

Extra Sensory Perception (ESP)

What is it?
ESP aka Extra Sensory Perception is a third party program allows you to see all the enemies where ever they are on a map in a specific way. There's 2 types of ESP and one of those programs are known by "Chams"; this program allows you to see the enemies in red bodies. It's color coded basically. This type of ESP can cause dramatic decreases in FPS, resulting in lag. The other type of ESP is the default one and has no specific name other than the third party program itself and what this enables you to see is names from where ever the enemy is at a specific point. You can track them at a constant rate by following along with them.

Why do it?
From a players point of view, they might want to do it to gain an advantage like any other third party program. This third party program has been being used in events such as "LMS" so they know where the hunter is headed towards. With that in mind, they can plan an escape route in advance being a step ahead of the rest of the players without using it. It's fairly easy to spot but it can lead to misunderstandings in factors such as "Soundplay".

How do I spot it?

Soundplay? What is that?
Soundplay is oftenly mistaken for ESP. Only difference is that Soundplay is legit meaning you can detect where the enemies are prior to the use of a headset, etc. Some maps that are easy to soundplay on are Garden & Factory. This is because it's a small and pushed map which leads to hearing where the enemies are heading towards and where they are at that point. The spots on those maps are quite frankly common also.

Punishment
A permanent ban will be given.

Requirements
A replay with at least 2 rounds. The more the better.

Force-lagging & Spiking

What is force lagging?
Force lagging is when you are forcing your computer to lag, the pings will go higher so you can actually abuse the anti-lead system.
User caught force lagging will receive a warning.

1st Offence: One warning.
2nd Offence: Two warnings.

Requirements
If the report is based on clanwar you have to provide a replay with minimum of 3 rounds and minimum of 4 screenshots showing the ping of the user.
If the report is based on any other game-mode you have to provide a replay with minimum of 6 rounds and minimum of 4 screenshots showing the ping of the user.

Spamming

What is spamming?
Spamming is a user whose writing the same line constantly without stopping.

Punishment
1st Attempt: 1 day mute
2nd Attempt: 3 days mute
3rd Attempt: 5 days mute
4th Attempt: 7 days mute
5th Attempt: 14 days mute
6th Attempt: 30 days mute (This applies to any attempts above 6)

Requirements
Minimum of one screenshots.
Note: If the user has 4 lines of the same sentence, it could be chatlag, so make sure you include more screenshots just in-case.

Scamming

What is scamming?
Scamming is a user trying to fetch your account details in order to get access to your account. Most of the users try to trick you by giving you "free coins", be careful don't.

1st attempt: Mute + Warning
2nd attempt: Ban

What is glitching?
Glitching is when a user is abusing a bug which isn't fixed by developers, so they gain this advantage to kill players in an 'illegal' way.

Begging

What is begging?
Begging is someone whose constantly asking for something non-stop.

Punishment
24 hour mute for first offence, 48 hour mute for the second offence, and a warning + temporary ban on the third attempt.

Staff impersonation

​5. Exceptions & Staff Information

Exceptions
There is one exception for the rule regarding macros and the rule is that you are allowed to use it in a training room as long as it doesn't bother or annoy any user.

Staff Information
Staff members may abuse their staff weapons in a room when the room title specifically states that the staff member is going to abuse staff weapons. Also, the room must be a training room. If the room is not a training room then you can still report the staff member.
