my body aint ready for this awesomeness
This makes me really want to get one.
Just remember that the portable platform probably won't run on 60fps but rather a lesser scale (probably 720, but maybe it can push 1080) at 30. There's no way I can see a portable device run Skyrim at 1080p60. On it's home console though, I can see wondrous things happening.
Also, it looks like it can run off of a wireless HDMI. This is problematic if you can't switch between wired and wireless because I have tried a wireless HDMI dongle for a game console just to test it. Let me tell you, delays are god damn atrocious.
Other than that, everything else looks promising and hopefully Nintendo knows what they are doing with their console this time -glares at the Wii U-
PS: Dat third party line-up is insane, even by Nintendo's standards. That's where the promise is showing if all of them haven't backed down.
i don't think the portable is going to run it 60fps but idc if goes 30fps, its just a bonus for me that i can play games like elder scrolls anywhere i go (bathroom)
Fair point. Considering Bethesda games are frame locked at 30 for physics safety
There are just some games I probably would not be able to play at 30. But considering my choices in portable games, I don't think I will come across that problem often enough to care, personally.
Totally depends on the game and the experience you want to have with it. But playing like super smash bros and mario kart while taking a shit for example sounds good to me, or perhaps rpg games like elder scrolls. Once you've put like 59 hours into it or so then playing a few parts on 30fps wouldn't bother me
maybe over 2 years we will have that portable version with 60fps 1080p.
